KRAFTWITCH (he/they) is the stage name of John Moletress, a Philadelphia-based artist, musician, producer and label head of Three Wands Records. KRAFTWITCH can be heard monthly on Great Circles Radio (The Tarot Mixtapes) and Loose FM with guest spots on Hyde FM and Rinse FM.

SOFT KICKS, releasing April 2024 across digital streaming platforms, is an experimental ambient dance album which marks their second EP with Three Wands Records, following their debut EP Field Notes Vol. 1 (2023).

KRAFTWITCH’s music is known for its blend of electronic and acoustic sound, samples, and field recordings, taking inspiration from a range of musicians and genres including ambient, IDM, minimal house and techno.

KRAFTWITCH returned to focusing on music at the start of the pandemic in 2020, creating and constructing computer coded digital instruments from a variety of found objects and sculptural ideas, for which they livestreamed weekly performances. Most recently, they performed their sewing box instrument for Great Circles Radio’s PASSAGES series.

Before the pandemic, they performed under their given name John Moletress, touring live art throughout the US, UK, and EU.
